This is our interpretation of a early 1970s Cinelli Super Corsa Pista. The bike is build from bare metal with new parts of the era.
We decided not to follow the narrow path of an 1 to 1 restoration at this time. The paintwork picks up themes Cinelli used in the 50s to 60s and combines them with a chrome laze paint on top of black. The finish is high gloss, fine sanded and polished in endless steps.
We sourced some very nice parts for this build. The drilled and naked version of a Unicanitor with the matching Unitor seat post, Cinelli #16 handlebars, 28h low flange Campagnolo Record Pista hubs laced to 230gr Nisi Pista Speciale rims. The spokes are bond and soldered. The cotton bar tape is treathed with shellac.
