The 'Super Record' is the top model of Gios Torino from the late 1970s until the mid 1980s. This bike was made for Pro Team Polar. It has a custom "Polar" pantographed fork crown.
Gios bicycles achieved their greatest success in the late 1970s. Roger De Vlaeminck and Patrick Sercu rode for Team Brooklyn on Gios. De Vlaeminck won three times Paris-Roubaix on a Gios as well as Milan-Sanremo, the Tour of Flanders and the Tour of Lombardy. A certain Didi Thurau became famous on a Gios too.
